Salsa festival

An unmissable event takes place in Cali every year in September, when the World Salsa Festival is held, in which recognized orchestras and all the salsa schools of the city participate, accompanied by dance academies from other cities and abroad that are represented by around 5,000 dancers.

Salsa classes are held during the festival, as well as workshops, conversations and meetings of music lovers and collectors related to this rhythm. The contest that takes place in the capital of the department of Valle del Cauca pays a special tribute to the 'caleño dance', recognized worldwide for the speed with which the dancers move their feet, the creativity of their lifts and falls and the color of his wardrobe.
